I don’t know how many of you actually watched the Super Bowl in its power-delayed entirety but, if you did, you might have seen miss this advertisement for Kentucky’s football program: When you consider one 30-second spot for the Super Bowl cost a whopping $4 million, you have to wonder what the Wildcats were thinking? I mean, I know they are trying to change the culture around their football program and everything, but $4 million dollars on a spot that most people likely thought was about the basketball team might have been a bit too much of a gamble. That said, given the location of the Super Bowl (New Orleans) and the nice recruiting hall the Wildcats are pulling despite the competition (they currently have the No. 42 ranked class in the nation), it might have been a risk worth taking as, down the road, it could pay some dividends with prospects looking to latch on with a program that offers good playing time, SEC exposure, and a schedule of games that will end up on network tele...
