The Bills could have extended a key fourth-quarter drive if Stevie Johnson had pulled in a pass from EJ Manuel on third-and-two with just under nine minutes remaining.
The ball glanced off Johnson’s fingertips, but still looked catchable. The Bills’ No. 1 wideout says it was not as easy as it looked.
“It looked like the play should have been made, but with my extending how I did, it was like my length just got my hands on the ball,” Johnson told ESPN.com. “I felt like it was harder than it was, what really happened. Looking at the film, yeah, I was wide open. I beat the guy … It was tougher than what it looked.”
Not that Johnson is making excuses or anything. The Bills were leading 21-20 at the time. The Patriots came back to kick a game-winning field goal with five seconds left in the game.
Check out the gif below to see just how difficult the catch would have been to make.

Buffalo halfback Fred Jackson totaled 108 yards from scrimmage Sunday in a loss to New England.Fantasy Spin:He led the Bills with 67 yards rushing on 13 carries. Spiller at the end of last season but if he keeps this up, the Bills' rushing distribution could be closer to a 50/50 split...

Buffalo Bills fans are pretty original how they razz the opposition. You had the fans dressed in prison jumpsuits that said “Hernandez 81″ on the back. Then you have this sign that said “Tom Brady Sits When He Pees”.
Karma is a b*tch…..
All Tom Brady did was get off the toilet bowl and beat the Bills yet again.

So close, yet so far... The Buffalo Bills were minutes away from a week 1 victory and then Brady and the Pats became Brady and the Pats and the Bills became the Bills. For what it’s worth, neither team played good football. Turnovers and penalties were the theme of the day for the Bills, who showed why being good and being young in the NFL are not as harmonious of a duo as last...
