Brooklyn will be well represented in China this season, that is for sure. Now three years after Stephon Marbury made the jump from the NBA to China, his cousin and recent free agent point guard Sebastian Telfair will also call the Chinese Basketball Association home this season according to reports from Yahoo! Sports. Adrian Wojnarowski writes that the 28-year old Telfair who spent last season with the Phoenix Suns and Toronto Raptors will sign with Tianjin, and a chance to return to the NBA in late February once the CBA season concludes. Telfair averaged 7.4 points and 3.5 assists while splitting time between the Suns and Raptors last season. If Telfair’s experience is anything like Marbury has achieved in China, “Bassy” could return to the league with a championship and a cultural icon like big cousin “Starbury”. The news of Telfair heading to China coincides with Marbury signing a three-year extension with the Beijing Ducks that will keep him under contract thro...

'Hibbert' Technique Being Taught By Raptors To Valanciunas

The Toronto Raptors have worked extensively with Jonas Valanciunas on the "Hibbert", which is jumping vertically to challenge shooters instead of reaching. The Raptors are hoping Valanciunas gives them a strong interior presence on defense without succumbing to foul trouble. "He's far more comfortable in the NBA games," Dwane Casey said. Raptors' Buycks draws on European experience

Dwight Buycks is an honest man. Most league MVPs would tell you how much better they got during a successful year but Buycks says his game didn’t really change in 2012-13 when he was named the top player in France after starring for BCM Gravelines. “I’m actually the same” said the 6-foot-3 Milwaukee native who is vying for minutes in the Raptors’ backcourt in his first...

Recap: A circus ending leads to another C’s preseason loss to Toronto, 99-97

With under a minute to go in the fourth quarter, the Celtics were trailing the Toronto Raptors by three, 95-92.  Inexplicably, they fouled intentionally.  At least it seemed that it was intentional.  Chris Babb fouled Dwight Buycks (who?!?!) made both free throws to make it a 5 point game that the Raptors would not relinquish.  MarShon Brooks did hit a three just after that,...
