PLAYERS: Matt Schaub
TEAMS: Houston Texans
Well it looks like Texans fans have had enough of quarterback Matt Schaub after failing to put away the Seahawks today. A fan decided to burn his Schaub jersey after Sunday’s loss. 3 straight games with a pick 6 & Texans fans respond RT @javi5705: @LanceZierlein this is happening a at tailgate . — Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) September 29, 2013 @BlkSportsOnline look how ugly it's getting in Houston for Schaub — Leonard Frazier (@lcfrazier72) September 29, 2013 [ Black Sports Online ] Need NFL Tickets? • Texans fans are tired of QB Schaub giving away each game. Mr. JJ Watt expressed his ultimate displeasure after working his ass off (bleeding from the bridge of his nose) with the rest of the Defensive guys. He is right to feel that way.

There is that quiet respect each of the players express when confronted with the question about the QB situation, but it is clearly discernible that they are quietly pissed off of Schaub's poor decision making when pressured. He could have held on to the ball instead of blindly flinging it out as he was being taken down. How many more of these POOR decisions would Kubiak, Smith and McNair take from Schaub at the QB helm? Are they BLIND?

The Texans have T. J. YATES AND CASE KEENUM who are more than capable, agile and can elude defensive guys easily -- much better than Schaub. Granted that the team is paying Schaub that big MONEY from the recent contract extension (another TEAM blunder)...well, like the Seattle Seahawks last year...they had QB Matt Flynn with big bucks, too, but they still made the right decision of playing Russell Wilson, their third string QB, who showed his agility, read option prowess and throwing accuracy...which took them to the playoffs and almost got them to the Super Bowl. Well, that same Russell Wilson didn't give up today, and he did his thing to help Seattle win over the Texans anyway. More power to them.

Now, comes San we really have to play Schaub again? IF the Texans are that foolhardy, they will be coming home with a 2-3 record for sure. Fans are not going to stop chanting and asking for him to stay on the bench while Yates or Keenum find ways to win the remaining 12 regular season games for the loyal fans and the City of Houston.

Mr. McNair, Mr. Smith, Mr. Kubiak -- it is high time for you to decide on making that bold step -- a QB CHANGE. Mr. Schaub will get you down every week for the next 12....IF YOU KEEP SUPPORTING HIS inefficiency, ineffectiveness and losses to boot! Every Texans fan has had enough....and everyone is simply FED UP! You have to note that Schaub's downward spiral started with last season's regular games that effectively gave away all the playoff advantage the Texans had EARNED. The result should have made Mr. Kubiak stop making excuses, and here we are one quarter into the 2013 season. Mr. Kubiak -- should start the QB CHANGE MOVEMENT come Monday morning.
  • Sorry, but I have tried to be a big supporter of the Matt Schaub, Gary Kubiak running the show for the Texans. But honestly they have great numbers to look at the end of the season. But they are not Super Bowl contenders look at the past super bowl contenders then look at these two come on Houston??????
  • listen to the fans for once!!Put Keenum in game and watch what happens---he plays with passion and knows how to win.Schaub will not be the QB next year so lets start now training our future QB--
  • and the fair weather fans flock around like buzzards.
  • Matt u r so predictable. Get out of town & take Gary with u.
  • If the Houston Texans want to be an elite football that are in the hunt year in and year out, then they need to have a top-tier quarter-back at the helm on their team. Matt Schaub is neither mobile, accurate or even sound when it comes to football savvy. The guy is one of the main reasons why the Houston Texans are not mentioned when it comes to being a Super-Bowl contender. And until the team sidelines him, more "L" will be put in the win/loss column rather than "W"...To bad, so sad.
  • Answer to "fair weather fan" comment. This town and fans deserve better and I have been watching the sport teams here for over a half century. I'm a expert on what should be done in Houston. Give HC Guberchek and his QB scab a one way walk out of Houston and move Bums boy in as HC and Keenum as QB.

After a horrible performance this week, Matt Schaub deleted his twitter account

After giving the Seattle Seahawks hope on Sunday, a handful of Texans fans destroyed a Matt Schaub jersey with fire.  Well I guess Matt Schaub could sense the hatred. Schaub deleted his twitter account per Nick Wright of 610 sportsradio in Houston. Nick Wright of 610 SportsRadio in Houston passes along the word that he’s noticed Schaub’s […]

Report: Texans Could Get Of QB Matt Schaub’s Contract Next Season

According to Mike Florio of Pro Football Talk, the Houston Texans have the ability to get out from underneath the five-year, $66.15 million contract they signed QB Matt Schaub to last season. Florio’s source informed him that Houston has already paid Schaub $22 million in 2012 and his cap hit becomes “somewhat manageable after the 2013 season.“ The Texans could designate...

WATCH: Texans fans burn Matt Schaub jersey outside stadium

Matt Schaub never struck me as the most beloved player ever so his downfall may not be all that dramatic, but it’s still fun to watch an established starting quarterback get turned on by his team’s fans. With a pick-six in each of his last three games (two of them losses), Schaub has gone from “serviceable starter if you want to contend but not win a Super Bowl” to straight...

Texans Fans Burning Matt Schaub’s Jersey After Loss to Seahawks (Photo)

I think burning a jersey is stupid on all levels, I don’t even care if your QB is Blaine Gabbert, but fan is short for fanatic. 3 straight games with a pick 6 & Texans fans respond RT @javi5705: @LanceZierlein this is happening a at tailgate . — Lance Zierlein (@LanceZierlein) September 29, 2013 @BlkSportsOnline look how ugly it's getting...

Texans’ Fans Burn Matt Schaub Jersey

In what has become a universal symbol for disgust with a player, Houston fans have now begun to burn the jersey of their starting quarterback, Matt Schaub. Thanks to our friends at BlackSportsOnline for this one, and with it I can’t help but laugh. Forget that Schaub has thrown a pick-six in 3 games, in terms of consistency at the QB level Matt Schaub has done little to deserve...

Richard Sherman Pick 6 off Matt Schaub (Video)

Matt Schaub went YOLO pass late in the game and Richard Sherman took it to the house. The announcer hit a classic “he’s got followers and not just on twitter!”

Matt Schaub Jersey Burn by Texans Fans Is Almost As Pitiful As Richard Sherman Interception That Provoked It (Video)

Houston Texans fans are understandably upset at Matt Schaub. The quarterback, whose arrival in Houston in 2007 appeared to be the piece the Texans needed to get themselves over the hump, is again failing to fulfill expectations with another middling season. The Texans are 2-2, and Schaub has thrown eight touchdowns against six interceptions, none more egregious than the pick that...

Texans Matt Schaub Decides to Delete His Twitter Account

Burning jerseys sometimes have that effect of the athlete’s ego. Probably for the best if you know the comments going to bother you. Ouch, @Texans QB Matt Schaub deleted his twitter account. @MSchaub8 — uSTADIUM (@uSTADIUM) October 1, 2013

Matt Schaub’s Twitter Account Mysteriously Vanishes as Texans Struggle

Colin Kaepernick responded to his critics in an interesting way last week, favoriting critical tweets as motivation. Matt Schaub is apparently taking a very differant approach to the Twitticism. Schaub’s Twitter account has mysteriously, and maybe conveniently, vanished in recent days, as Nick Wright of 610 SportsRadio in Houston first noted. The Texan’s quarterback’s @MSchaub8...

Texans QB Matt Schaub gets leveled by Seahawks DE Cliff Avril

Houston Texans quarterback Matt Schaub had a forgettable day against the Seattle Seahawks and this hit by Seahawks defensive end Cliff Avril had to hurt.  Avril absolutely leveled Schaub who had nowhere to go but straight into Avril’s waiting arms.

The Texans need to start TJ Yates now

I’m sorry Texans fans, but you cannot let a 20-3 lead going into the third quarter. Matt Schaub is a veteran quarterback and he made a stupid rookie mistake that cost him the game yesterday. When getting rushed late in the game Schaub elects to throw a floater in the air to the flats. The […]

Fight In Qualcomm Stadium Parking Lot Culminates In Bottles Being Broken Over Peoples’ Heads

If parking lot incidents in two different cities on Sunday are any indication, stupid behavior does not discriminate between NFL fan bases. Late Sunday, photos and video surfaced of Houston Texans fans burning a Matt Schaub jersey in the Reliant Stadium parking lot. In that incident, at least nobody was harmed. The same can’t be said for this fight outside Qualcomm Stadium in San...

Rough year so far for some top QBs

(Eds: With AP Photos.) By BARRY WILNER AP Pro Football Writer NFL quarterbacks can be broken into three groups: elite, good and ''can we find somebody else?'' That last group is growing considering what has gone on with the Buccaneers, Browns, Raiders and Jets already. Most troublesome, however, are the recent meltdowns by some quality passers who seem to take huge...
