Texas Rangers pitchers Justin Grimm and Derek Holland can be counted among that group. Recently, with the help of the MLB Fan Cave, they shot a audition reel in order to show off their acting chops.
It's a good thing they are pretty good at their day jobs.

Elvis Andrus just loves to mess with Adrian Beltre. The Texas Rangers shortstop’s ongoing antics with his teammate continued on Monday when he decided to interfere with Beltre on a popup yet again. This one occurred in the bottom of the third inning of the Rangers’ 8-5 win over the Baltimore Orioles. Adam Jones was [...]
Elvis Andrus continues to play the instigator role in the ongoing back-and-forth with fellow teammate Adrian Beltre.
Andrus, it seems, struck first. Cameras captured the short stop playfully touching Beltre's head, which, obviously, he is not a fan.
Then he got his skipper Ron Washington in on the prank.
Then he playfully tries to interfere in a routine popup.
The Texas Rangers recently placed rookie hurler Nick Tepesch on the disabled list. The right-hander joined fellow starters Matt Harrison, Alexi Ogando and Colby Lewis on the DL, and the veteran trio is hoping to return to the Rangers at some point after the All-Star break, according to T.R. Sullivan of MLB.com.
Harrison started the season with the Rangers, but after making...
With a 52-37 record, it’s obvious that the Rangers are not messing around in the AL West. But messing around is exactly what Elvis Andrus and Adrian Beltre are doing during routine pop ups in the infield.
On Monday night, Adam Jones of the Orioles hit a pop up to Beltre at third base with runners on first and second and no outs (so the infield fly rule was in effect). Andrus came...
An ongoing story this season for the Texas Rangers has been the bro-mance going on between veteran third baseman Adrian Beltre and young up-and-coming short stop Elvis Andrus. Monday night it took another turn.
At various times throughout the season the two have taken to messing with each other. From time to time Andrus has abused Beltre's pet peeve--people rubbing...
Seriously, sometimes I can’t believe I get to watch that guy play for my team every night. He’s so good at baseball. I wish I was as good at anything as he is at baseball. Oh, and he’s not an All-Star this year. Which is ridiculous. But we all know the All-Star voting is pretty terrible anyway.
Back to tonight’s game, Beltre was an All-Star on the...
BALTIMORE (AP) -- Ian Kinsler capped a six-run sixth inning with a bases-loaded double, and the Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-5 Monday night in a rematch of last year's AL wild-card game.
The victory thrust the Rangers 15 games over .500 (52-37) for the first time since May 25. It also improved their road record to 25-18, best in franchise history after 43 games...
Former Boston Red Sox hero, Manny Ramirez, is on his way to making a comeback in the MLB with the Texas Rangers. He began a a stint through the minor leagues tonight for Triple-A Round Rock Express. Just prior to, he spent the beginning of this season playing ball in Taiwan on a half-season contract with the EDA Rhinos. He is 41 now but seemed pretty relaxed about what his how effective...

BALTIMORE (AP) -- Adrian Beltre went 4 for 4 with two homers and a season-high five RBIs to help the surging Texas Rangers beat the Baltimore Orioles 8-4 Tuesday night.
Beltre hit a solo shot in the second inning and a three-run drive in the fifth, both off Zach Britton (2-3). Beltre has six home runs in his last six games and is batting .488 (21 for 43) during an 11-game hitting...
I would prefer to forget that four-game set with Baltimore a few years ago right before the All-Star break, but my baseball heart never lets me. I kind of feared history would repeat itself as the Rangers headed east for a series with the Orioles with the mid-summer classic just a week away. Fortunately, Derek Holland and the gang made sure this one wouldn’t be four losses...
As a Boston Red Sox fan I have to say Manny Ramirez had some very clutch moments in his time in Boston. 2004 was a special year for Red Sox fans and Manny was very instrumental that year to help Boston reverse the curse.
When talk of steroids and PED’s circled around his name the Red Sox front office was looking to part ways with Manny. Ramirez moved to Los Angeles to play with...
