Despite the constant whining of a few, the Eagles on the contrary have made some very good decisions this offseason. One of them was in regards to letting go the dead weight of Nnamdi. Some have been very critical of the Eagles for cutting this liability lose while at the same time praising other teams for walking away from far better talent. Now the 49ers despite having lost a defensive back to injury and the fact they paid little to sign him (since he’s still making a nice chunk of change from the Eagles) are still doubting he even makes the team!

["We don't know what we're getting with Nnamdi," defensive coordinator Vic Fangio said Friday. "He's had some good days, had days when we didn't know if he still had it.

"The jury's still out there."

Asomugha, entering his 11th season, made what coach Jim Harbaugh called "eye-popping plays" the past couple days at camp.

"At the stage of his career, some guys start to lose their physical skills and we need to see how he fits in there," Fangio added.]

I’m sure some people will dismiss this type of talk as just some  “coach speak”, but if the guy is supposed to be one of the best in the game, and all of his troubles in Philly are really, because of his terrible safeties (stupid ASSumption) then why would he need such silly motivations. In truth Nnamdi being good some days and bad others is exactly how you could describe his career in Philly. He was never consistent not even as a tackler. His technique as a cover man was greatly over rated. When Nnamdi supposedly got the type of defense the suited him, he actually played worse to the point of being benched for a guy who was a better running back than cornerback. So I’m going to give my team props for walking away from this guy. I’ve been reading all summer about how teams have been getting praised for getting rid of guys despite the fact their still paying them. Here’s some praise that needs to go the Eagles way despite what the moronic few think.
