Packers cornerback Tramon Williams has been sidelined since late June with a bone bruise in his knee. Williams believes he’ll be ready for the Packers season opener against the 49ers. “I think so, I think so,” Williams said, via the Milwaukee Journal-Sentinel. “I’ve never really thought about that. I thought I’d be playing now. But I think so.” Williams says he’s been “progressing” and he’s not worried. “Obviously, if it was up to me I’d be practicing,” Williams said. “But it’s something that you never want to rush, especially a bone bruise. It’s pretty painful. Those things are pretty painful. So you have to be careful with those things. A lot of guys who have had them, research-wise, it kind of lingers for a while. So you don’t want to come right back on it. I’m just trying to take my time with it at this point and continue to get treatment. It’s starting to feel better by the day, so that’s all I can ask for. “D-Wade was one of the guys who had it. Obviously, it lingered with him. But he had some other issues going on, too. But I’m good, though. It’s getting better every day.” Need NFL Tickets? Loading... ZergNet The post Tramon Williams believes he’ll be ready for week one appeared first on Pro Football Zone.
