I am usually a fan of petty rivalry stuff but this might be a step too far. Reportedly, Urban Meyer does not want NFL scouts wearing blue at Ohio State because you know, Michigan wears blue. From a Fox Sports report: On the first day NFL scouts were allowed to observe Ohio State’s practice this month, at least two were wearing blue. And at some point during their time in Ohio State’s facility, Meyer’s message about what not to wear was passed along through Ohio State and staffers and even involved some players yelling to the scouts that blue was not welcome. Eventually, those scouts in blue were given Ohio State shirts to wear for the duration of their visit. One scout for an NFC team who was there but not directly involved acknowledged that the incident was “embarrassing,” but didn’t want to say anything further. Said another longtime scout who’s been to Ohio State this month but not the day of the incident: “It’s just not something that needed to happen. It could have been handled much better, and if that (blue-shirt) rule is going to be enforced, they could let us know.” Considering Ohio State is the Big Ten favorite and loaded up with talent, Urban might want to play nicer with the scouts that come watch his team. We already know Urban doesn’t like players saying “Michigan.” This comes off as some bully behavior instead of wanting to poke at their rival.

Ohio State and Urban Meyer landed their first 2015 commit Sunday night, with the announcement that Canton McKinley four-star athlete Eric Glover-Williams has pledged to the Buckeyes.
It was during a spring workout when someone mentioned to Kenny Guiton that, no matter what, he would always be remembered for one game.
''Yes, sir. That's pretty cool,'' he said with a wide grin. ''That's something I have to live on for the rest of my life. I'm happy that got to happen.''
''That'' was Ohio State's...

Urban Meyer had officially been the head coach at Ohio State for maybe 10 minutes when he was hit with his first question about his old conference.
So, is the Southeastern Conference better than the Big Ten, and if so, why?
''It's obvious that the SEC right now is dominant,'' the ex-Florida coach said in November 2011 at his first news conference as new head...
Ohio State commit wide receiver Terry McLaurin of Indianapolis (Ind.) Cathedral talks about what he's going to bring to the table at Ohio State, why he chose the Buckeyes, and when he plans on visiting his future college in Columbus.
Ohio State ran the ball with great success in 2012, but the style of running wasn't quite what many had expected out of the offense designed by Urban Meyer and Tom Herman. That should change in 2013, though, as the read option and other hallmarks of the Meyer spread should be back in play.
Ohio State staged a special welcome to its students on Saturday with the annual Buckeye Kickoff event. The pep rally was attended by OSU staffers as well as six seniors who could be looked upon as leaders for the Buckeyes in 2013.
Ohio State commit and Gary Westside (Ind.) senior wide receiver Lonnie Johnson speaks with FOXSports and Scout.com after the season opener.
LEADERS 1. OHIO STATE (11-1/7-1, loss to Northwestern) Does that loss make a lick of sense? Nope, but such are preseason predictions. The Fightin’ Urbans draw Northwestern the week after what’s sure to be a knock-down drag-out brawl with Wisconsin, and the Wildcats come off a bye week. 2. WISCONSIN (10-2/7-1, losses to Arizona State, Ohio State) Don’t (Visited 3 times, 3...
Throughout the high school football season, BuckeyeSports.com will be following the progress of Ohio State’s football commitments. Here is how the OSU verbal commitments and their teams fared Aug. 23.
"I'm not colorblind!"
Okay, this is your stupid thing of the day.
Well, unless you are an Ohio State fan, but if you are, you don't see this the same way the other 99% of the universe does anyway.
It appears that if you are an NFL Scout or media member or anyone else visiting an Ohio State practice, you are not allowed to wear...
As the head football coach at Ohio State, you’d expect Urban Meyer to make his disdain for the Michigan Wolverines well known. But according to Fox Sports’ Zac Jackson, he may have gone overboard instituting a “color policy” earlier this month.
On the first day NFL scouts were allowed to observe Ohio State’s practice this month, at least two were wearing blue. And at some...
