Just when you thought you have seen it all. This video clip comes courtesy of a recent soccer match between Groningen and Heerenveen where Dutch player Timo Letschert gets sent off with a red card after executing a dangerous and vicious slide tackle on an opposing player. Once Letschert receives word of his demise, he immediately faints, draws the attention of medical staff, and is lifted off the field on a stretcher. What a marvelous acting job. Of course, there is a remote possibility that Letschert wasn't dramatizing his injury, especially when you take a look at the replay which shows him taking a pretty swift blow to the head during his slide tackle. However, I'm going to side with the fact that it was probably just a lame attempt at sympathy. Via SportsGrid
