Seattle Seahawks quarterback Russell Wilson is on the verge of becoming a superstar after shocking the world and stealing the starter's job from Matt Flynn last season. Sure enough, folks with ties to the young QB are making the most of their association--like the minor league baseball team he played for, the Tri-City Dust Devils.  The Dust Devils had a Russell Wilson Bobblehead Night on Friday, but don't worry. If you couldn't make the game you can still get one--you'll just have to pay for it. Folks have taken to eBay to try and make money off the bobbleheads they got for free. As of Saturday night several had listed prices right around $60. Another had over 16 bids and was going for around $45. Yeah, its not big money, but common--it's a bobblehead; a free bobblehead.

Veteran CB Antoine Winfield adds new dimension to Seahawks secondary

Veteran cornerback Antoine Winfield brings a wealth of experience to Seattle - a 15-year pro. Winfield's production hasn't dropped off and was arguably the best cornerback on the Minnesota Vikings in 2012, posting 101 tackles from mostly the slot position. Winfield will play the slot for the Seahawks and with physical corners Richard Sherman and Brandon Browning, they...

Cliff Avril will have to produce for the Seahawks

The Seattle Seahawks made a splash in free agency when they signed defensive ends Cliff Avril and Michael Bennett to go along with pass rushers Chris Clemons and Bruce Irvin who were already on the roster. With 18.5 combined sacks last year, Avril and Bennett are expected to help improve a Seahawks pass rush that struggled with consistency for much of last season. However, Eric...

Seahawks' special teams looking for more success in 2013

The Seattle Seahawks special teams play in 2012 was good, and now they're looking to be great in 2013. With a strong unit already in place, they might be even better going forward, writes Clare Farnsworth of the team's official website. The first order of business this offseason was to replace the departed Leon Washington, who was released when the team acquired receiver...

The Future at Receiver for the Seattle Seahawks

About that Receiver Depth… Sometimes there really can be too much of a good thing. Where the Seattle Seahawks are concerned at wide receiver, that just may be the case. Having two starting quality receivers, now that’s just gravy. When you have four, that’s unsustainable. And alas, that’s the position the Seahawks are in following their acquisition of Percy Harvin in a trade...

Seahawks’ Russell Okung ran with the bulls in Spain (photo)

Jets head coach Rex Ryan wasn’t the only person from the NFL that decided to run with the bulls in Spain. Seahawks left tackle Russell Okung also made his way to Spain for the event. Marshawn Lynch’s DUI trial will now be held in December

According to The Seattle Times, Marshawn Lynch’s DUI trial will be held on December 27th instead of in November. At a pretrial  hearing today regarding Marshawn Lynch’s DUI arrest last July in Oakland, it was re-affirmed that a motion to suppress evidence will not be held until Nov. 1, and that a jury trial won’t begin until Dec. 27. Lynch earlier pleaded not guilty to...

Charly Martin Claimed Off Waivers By The San Francisco 49ers

Well it didn’t take Charly Martin long to find a new home! Just yesterday, Charly was released by the Seattle Seahawks. I don’t believe anyone expected Martin to be claimed but the receiver needy 49ers came calling. They claimed Martin and will bring the backup slot receiver into camp to compete for a job. Many people thought the 49ers would have signed free agent Austin Collie...

49ers claim former Seahawks receiver off waivers

Just yesterday the Seahawks claimed former 49ers long snapper Kyle Nelson off of waivers. Today the 49ers decided to return the favor and claimed wide receiver Charly Martin. Martin was waived yesterday by the Seahawks to make room on their roster for Nelson.   Need NFL Tickets? Loading... The post 49ers claim former Seahawks receiver off waivers appeared first on...

Marshawn Lynch Trial Won't Begin Until Late December

Seattle running back Marshawn Lynch's 2012 DUI arrest is still out there, but with a Dec 27 court date and the regular season ending on Dec 29, fantasy owners should not have to worry about him missing any time because of it.Fantasy Spin:Lynch had a monster season in 2012-13 with 1,590 rushing yards, 10 100-yard games and 12 total touchdowns. Fantasy owners can handcuff Robert...

49ers claim WR Martin off waivers

San Francisco added another wide receiver to the mix Friday by claiming former Panther and Seahawk Charly Martin.

Russell Wilson the reason you risk a mid-round QB

No team loaded up in free agency this past offseason like the Seattle Seahawks. They had more financial flexibility than any other team, and most of that is thanks to who their starting quarterback is. Last year’s third-round draft pick, Russell Wilson, is the only projected starter in the NFL that is making less than $1 million per year. Obviously, had Wilson gone as high as his...
