The Philadelphia Eagles and their new read option offense was what everyone wanted to see as the 2013 NFL regular season got underway last weekend.
The Eagles did not disappoint, showing a fast paced offense, hundreds of formations, and an ability to feature their best skill players all over the field.
Everyone took notice of the high powered Eagles, even the book makers in Las Vegas.
Reuben Frank CSN Philly is reporting that the Eagles odds to reach the Super Bowl more than doubled after their impressive performance on Monday night.

At 50-to-1, only eight teams had longer odds before opening weekend to win Super Bowl XLVIII in East Rutherford in February.
The Jaguars (300-to-1), Raiders (250-to-1), Browns, Titans and Bills (150-to-1), the Jets and Cards (125-to-1) and the Panthers (66-to-1).
After Mondays performance, only 12 team...

The Eagles ran their fast paced offense last week, can they repeat it?
After going 13-3 week 1, I've started out 1-0 with the Patriot sneaking past the Jets.
We'll continue to learn more about the league after this weeks game.
Here we go:
Carolina @ Buffalo - The Panthers played the Seahawks tough at home and their defense looks much improved. The Patriots...
(Credit: phillysportscentral) On Monday night, Philadelphia Eagles running back LeSean McCoy reminded the NFL why he was a top five running back just two seasons ago. During the team’s Monday night game, McCoy carried the ball 31 times for 184 yards and a touchdown. He also had one reception for 5 yards. Despite helping his team to a win and currently leading the league in rushing...
Looks like the transition from one to position to another is going pretty well for Philadelphia Eagles DE-turned-OLB Trent Cole. "I truly feel like it's easier than playing defensive end," Cole said, via USA TODAY Sports. "That's the truth. That's how I feel. I'm standing up. I'm already in attack mode. I'm not fighting (offensive) tackles all the time.
Which one is it Eagles fans. Does Shady want the ball or not? Throughout the Andy Reid era, the biggest knock on Reid was his usage of Shady, or lack thereof. McCoy has a new coach and a new defined role. The Eagles will go as McCoy goes after carrying the ball 31 times against the Redskins for 180 plus yards. McCoy doesn’t mind the Eric Dickerson like workload, but warned that...
A glaring weakness for the Philadelphia Eagles the past three seasons, special teams looks to be a strength under Chip Kelly.
Sure, it's a small sampling. But the Eagles have to start somewhere.
Under Kelly, and his first-year assistant special teams coach Dave Fipp, Philadelphia set a standard vs. Washington in the season opener. Punter Donnie Jones, signed as a free agent...
Chip Kelly impressed football fans everywhere by leading the Philadelphia Eagles to a road win over the Washington Redskins on Monday night in his NFL coaching debut. Fans saw the Eagles do exactly what they were used to seeing out of Kelly’s Oregon Ducks: a fast-paced spread offense that runs a lot of plays in […]
As exciting as Chip Kelly’s offense in Philadelphia may be, it may already be on its way out. The reason? Michael Vick, the player the offense absolutely cannot function without, is taking way too many hits already, and it seems unlikely he’ll last an entire season.
“We saw Vick limping around. Vick's not gonna last,” former general manager Charley Casserly said Tuesday...

No. 1 Look For Bryce Brown To Have More Of An Impact In The Running GameIn the Eagles opener on Monday night, the run game was almost unstoppable. Lesean McCoy totaled 31 carries for 184 yards and a touchdown. He’s obviously going to be one of the top backs in the league this year as long as he stays healthy. But his health may be in danger if he continues to tote...
It took all of one game for Chip Kelly’s squad to be the talk of the NFL. Philadelphia fans are suddenly re-emerging after a season to forget, and fantasy football owners are fighting on the waiver wire over guys still available. Sure, there are still 15 games left on the regular season schedule, but can […]
