Owner of the Pittsburgh Power Matt Shaner fired ALL 24 members of his team during a pregame meal at an Orlando-area Olive Garden before their game against the Orlando Predators -- despite the team winning their game hours later.

According to reports, the firing came before AFL (Arena Football League) players were set to strike before the 2012 season opener, Saturday night.

Former Pittsburgh Power center Beau Elliot said, "mid-statement, all players got up and left. Every player got up and left while he was still talking. There were 15 to 20 angry, large individuals".

The reasoning for the strike is due to the AFL Player's Association request to team owners to increase the $400 game checks -- paid to most AFL players. Also, the union demanded that a 300% increase in the minimum salary. AFL owners countered back with a $100 raise.

It's being reported that some players who walked out while Shaner was firing them eventually came back and join the team -- after splitting from the union. Those who didn't return back to the team were force to find their way back to Pittsburgh.

Also, members of the Florida Predators were release.

The game, on Saturday night, was played with Pittsburgh winning against the Predators 40-26.
