Marcos Maidana and Devon Alexander are on their way to the ring.  Here comes Maidana now.  Alexander is making his way now.  

They are both in the ring.  Tonight's main event is in the welterweight division.  

The intros are finished.  Here we go.

Round 1:
They meet in the center.  Maidana misses with a straight right.  Lots of movement from both fighters.  Neither fighter lands a punch in the first minute.  Not much being thrown either.  Alexander throws a left that lands.  Maidana lands a right hand to the body and Alexander clinches.  Alexander goes back to the jab.  Maidana lands a right hand and Alexander lands a left upstairs.  Alexander lands another sharp left.  

Parker: 10-9 Alexander 

Round 2:
Alexander lands a speedy jab to start the round.  Maidana comes out firing and Alexander tries to counter.  They get tied up the ref warns Alexander for pushing with his arm.  Maidana lands a big left hook to the body.  Alexander takes it well and lands a power punch of his own.  They are trading bombs in round 2.  They slow down the action and go back to establishing the jab.  They trade jabs.  They trade on the inside, which turns into a clinch.  

Parker: 10-9 Maidana 

Round 3:
Alexander is doing a lot of clinching in there.  He's landing one punch and clinching.  Maidana is landing huge punches.  There's a great straight right from him.  Alexander comes back with a punch of his own.  Maidana catches Alexander with a right hand and knocks him off balance.  He's clearly winning this round.  Alexander is cut over his right eye.  Maidana is swiinging for the fences.  Now Alexander has Maidana in the corner and lands a beautiful combo.  Maidana lands a jab to the body and and Alexander clinches.  Alexander finishes the rounds well with a flurry on the inside.
