Slowly but surely, Maryland basketball coach Mark Turgeon is returning the Terrapins to a national power. Despite 7’1″ center Alex Len departing for the NBA after only two years in College Park and the surprise transfer of senior point guard Pe’Shon Howard, the Terps may return to “March Madness” in the Spring. Without a senior on the current roster, it is the 2014-’15 season that will mark the beginning of the Terrapins return to greatness. When the transformation is complete next season, there will be a player remaining from the Gary Williams era in senior to be Nick Faust. Next season, for the first time since arriving, Turgeon will have a full 13-man scholarship roster. The four man class of ’14, rated as high as #2 in the nation, signing their National Letters of Intent this week, during the November early signing period. The complete rundown of the elite group can be found here. Our friends at Testudo Times, representing the Terrapins for SB Nation compiled a scholarship chart that really puts the potential of next season and beyond in perspective. If I seem excited about where the Terps are headed, it’s because I am! Cover graphic courtesy UMTerps.com Follow Tom Blaz on #twitter @AubieTom
