PLAYERS: Jabari Parker
The Duke Blue Devils have enough challenging games this season to be tested, but it seems like every season that Duke has one game that leaves people scratching their heads.  Last season it was the Boston College game.  That game was at Boston College, but still a game that Duke should have won easily especially seeing how young the Eagles were. The Blue Devils being so good at home, the teams to look at are the ones who get them on the road.  There are five teams that can’t compete with Duke on a night to night basis that have Duke coming in to their place.  Those schools are Clemson, Miami, Boston College, Georgia Tech, and Wake Forest.  Every single one of these games Duke will be favored by a decent margin, but which one of them can pull off the upset? Looking at the games in order, the first is against Clemson.  This could be a dangerous game only because Duke might be going in to this game undefeated.  Clemson is looking at a difficult season, but has always played Duke well with big bodies inside.  With home games against some of the bottom teams in the ACC against Georgia Tech, Virginia, and North Carolina State they should be ready, and come away with the victory. The next game is against Miami.  This game isn’t really a big threat to the Blue Devils, because this year will be a rebuilding year for Miami.  They usually play Duke hard, but this just won’t be their year.  This will be another win for the Blue Devils. Then for Duke a game against Boston College, a team that beat the Blue Devils last season, and should only be better this season.  It comes in the middle of their tough stretch before a game at Syracuse, and the game after a road game against North Carolina.  This would seem like a likely spot for the Blue Devils to drop a game against an inferior opponent.  With the game last season, the upperclassmen will be ready for this game.  They won’t have a letdown and will come away with the win. The game that they will lose is to Georgia Tech.  This is a team that will finish around the middle of the ACC, and has a good mix of upperclassmen, which have been there and done that, while also have a good number of sophomores who will look to step up their game against a Duke team to show how far they have come.  It will be in-between home games against Maryland which is never an easy team for the Blue Devils, and a home game against Syracuse.  This is a game where Duke could be looking ahead, and Georgia Tech will be looking to do anything to get in to the NCAA tournament. The last game is against Wake Forest, who again this season will finish at the bottom of the ACC.  This will be a game that Duke will be looking to North Carolina with their last game coming up, but even with them looking ahead Duke will win this game with ease.  The only head scratcher of the year will be the game against Georgia Tech on February 18th.
