The Florida Gators are preparing to take on 3rd seeded Marquette in the West regional Thursday in the gators second straight sweet 16 appearance. Star guard Kenny Boynton and Erving Walker took the stand in front f the national media to answer a few questions about the game and we have that interview session here for you.

Boynton and Beal Talk Sweet - 16 Win

Kenny Boynton and Brad Beal talked to the media following Florida's 68-58 victory over Marquette. It was a fast paced game and the two were pressed into the speed and very physical play from a Big East opponent. They talked for a few moments after the late night game and we have the transcript and video here.

Florida moves on thanks to do-it-all Beal

PHOENIX -- On a night that set offensive basketball back half a century, the city of Phoenix would like to thank the Florida Gators for doing something no other team in the West Regional could do Thursday: eclipsing the 40 percent shooting threshold. For that, the Gators can thank guard Bradley Beal, who continues to use the NCAA tournament as his personal showcase. Beal followed...

Murphy answers challenge in Gators' win

PHOENIX Erik Murphy was 0-for-5 shooting in the first half and looked timid after missing a pair of open 3-pointers early. Florida coach Billy Donovan, sensing Murphy's drop in confidence, lit into him at the break. Not the way you might expect. "I want you to shoot every time you're open," Donovan told Murphy. "And if I see you not shooting the ball, I...

Florida's Beal heeds request, steps up game

Bradley Beal needed a nudge. Florida coach Billy Donovan's prized recruit spent most of the season playing in the shadow of upperclassmen Erving Walker and Kenny Boynton. Beal was content to let his fellow guards handle almost everything, including clutch shots, pep talks and anything in between. It wasn't good enough for Donovan. Donovan sat Beal down a few weeks ago...

Know Your Baseball Enemy: Florida Gators

South Carolina hosts the consensus number 1 team in the nation, the Florida Gators.  Florida is, to put it simply, the most complete college baseball team I have seen. Batting:  Florida returns the SEC Player of the year, Mike Zunino  He is batting .402 this year with 7 home runs and 25 RBIs.  He is joined by two first team all-SEC batters in Preston Tucker (.321, 8 HR, 22 RBI...

Gators Feeling Elite

PHOENIX - Almost every time he touches the ball, Bradley Beal does something special. His latest bit of basketball wizardry moved Florida a win away from the Final Four and set up Billy Donovan with a perfectly scripted matchup against his old coach and boss, Rick Pitino.

Marquette must stop Gator's 3-point shooters

MILWAUKEE -- For Marquette to advance beyond the Sweet 16, the Golden Eagles will need to prevent Florida from getting good looks from 3-point range on Thursday night. There was not a single team in all of Division I college basketball that made more 3-point shots this season than the Gators. "They shoot a lot of threes, and they make a lot of threes," Marquette senior...
