2013-14 Blue Devils are No.2 in the Preseason Poll 2013 Record: 30-6, 14-4 in the ACC 2013 Postseason: Lost in Elite 8 to Louisville Key Losses: Seth Curry, Mason Plumlee, Ryan Kelly Returning Stars: Quinn Cook, Amile Jefferson, Rasheed Sulaimon, Tyler Thornton Key Additions: Jabari Parker, Rodney Hood,  Matt Jones, Semi Ojeleye   2013-14 Outlook: Duke is coming in to the season as the No. 2 team in the country behind the Kentucky Wildcats and number 1 in the ACC. Duke has a trio of backcourt studs including Quinn Cook, Rasheed Sulaimon and Tyler Thornton that bring back great experience and have gotten better this offseason. Parker was the second best player in the country behind Andrew Wiggins and is a perfect fit for the Duke offense and program. Parker is joined by offense weapon Matt Jones and super freak athlete Rodney Hood. Hood averaged 10.3 points and 4.8 rebounds as a freshman with Mississippi State before transferring to Duke. Hood sat out a year and had minor knee surgery but will need to return to full form fast, Duke takes on Kansas in the first game of the season. Marshall Plumlee may not be as good as his brothers but he will be a key player on defense and have to bring his high energy every game. Duke is going to have to play small ball to always have Hood and Parker playing together. This Duke team has amazing basketball IQ, passing skills and speed something they lacked last season. The weakness will be the 3 point shooting and offensive rebounding, Duke lacks big physical bodies inside and the outside shooting will be streaky without Curry and Kelly. Jabari Parker have to be Mr. do it all and very clutch for Duke which he can be if Parker is a s good as advertised or better than Duke will be going deep into March and maybe even April for the Final Four. Prediction- Duke goes to the Final Four, see ya in Dallas. 1 Jabari Parker F 6-8 235 Fr. Chicago, Ill. (Simeon Career Academy) 2 Quinn Cook G 6-2 (+1) 180 (+5) Jr. Bowie, Md.
