Found October 22, 2012 on Buckeye Empire:
Earlier in the week on the Buckeye Empire Podcast, we were joined by former Ohio State basketball player Jon Diebler, to talk about his current season just getting underway in Turkey and the journey to this point in his career. From his unmatched high school career, to his unbelievable senior season at OSU – we touch on it all. From what playing for Thad Matta is like, to the all-Ohio starting five, to what 3bler thinks about this year’s team. It was a pleasure to sit down with the best three point shooter in B1G history and one of the best to ever play college ball. As a sportscaster, I have often found through multiple interviews with athletes, that there is often a shining characteristic that sticks with you. For me, it was Jon’s dedication to the game of basketball and life. Often times we think of him as an individual performer, because of some of the single player records he owns. What I learned in just thirty minutes about Jon’s character was that he doesn’t just care about being successful individually. He cares and respects the players around him. A consummate professional. What a privilege to talk to one of the greatest Buckeyes to ever step on the hardwood. To listen to this interview, make sure you add The Empire Podcast on Itunes! Ohio State and Oregon have agreed to face off against each other starting in 2020. The Buckeyes will travel to Oregon the first year, with the Ducks making a trip to Columbus in 2021.
