Robert Upshaw has been dismissed by Fresno State after a third violation of Athletic Department policy. Upshaw, a 7-foot center, was Rodney Terry's top recruit during his tenure at Fresno State. Upshaw was suspended for three games in February, sitting out against UNLV, at San Diego State and against New Mexico. Upshaw was then supsended a second time at the end of the regular season. When he signed with Fresno State over USC, Washington and Cal, Upshaw was a four-star prospect and considered one of the Top 50 prospects in the nation. Upshaw will look to continue his career with another college.

The Fresno State Bulldogs will host their second scrimmage of fall camp on Friday at 7:00pm, which will be open to the public. Head coach Tim DeRuyter plans to run 80 to 100 snaps in the scrimmage, with the second and third stringers getting the majority of the reps.
