Louisville vs Kentucky: It’s a bluegrass throwdown! Rick Pitino vs his old employer! Kentucky has been better all season and has a roster full of 5 star recruits, but as usual they’re very young with the usual stable of one and dones. In the meantime Louisville had a nice season going, then got hot in the Big East tournament and have parlayed that into a final four appearance. Sound familiar? It should as UConn followed that same path last year. Rick Pitino is now 10-0 in sweet 16 matchups lifetime which tells me that when he has a week to prepare he’ll have his team ready with a sound gameplan. I think Louisville’s defense will frustrate the Wildcats and Lousiville wins in an upset. Kansas vs Ohio State: Sure Kansas may be lucky to be here as Purdue had them on the ropes, but the NCAA tournament is littered with teams that catch a break or two and capitalize on that luck. Kansas’s Thomas Robinson should be able to hold his own against Sullinger. The real difference is that Bill Self is a much better coach than Thad Matta who seems to think that using your bench is optional. Ohio State probably has the better players but I think Kansas will win somehow. NHL:
