Found June 26, 2012 on Stepien Rules:
If Jared Sullinger falls all the way to the Cleveland Cavaliers at pick number 24, I would draft him there without hesitation. I wouldn't trade up to get him, obviously wouldn't take him at four, and if the Cavaliers find themselves holding pick number 15 or 16 by some sort of unforeseen wheeling and dealing I wouldn't use that pick on him either. But at no. 24, in that spot specifically on Thursday, I'd gladly make the 6-9 PF from Ohio State a Cleveland Cavalier. Sullinger is currently the only big I'd take with the 24th overall selection too, should the Cavaliers end up eventually picking there.I've been saying for a few weeks that my Draft philosophy for the Cavs generally includes taking two wings in the first round, and then taking two chances on bigs at 33 and 34. Micheal Kidd-Gilchrist and another wing player in the first round, as an example, then going from there. My reasons include the fact that the Cavaliers need wings on their roster in a bad way,...

No green room for Sullinger

Remember last year when Jared Sullinger would've been the No. 1 pick had he declared for the draft?  A year later, he will not even be invited to sit in the NBA Draft's green room.

OSU’s Jared Sullinger Not Invited to NBA Draft Green Room

This is not hyperbole right now. I’m not sure Ohio State has had a player with higher character than Jared Sullinger since Thad Matta took over. First round draft picks rarely need sympathy, nor to be hyped up, and it’s tough to feel bad for a guy who is about to be very rich playing the game he loves. Never the less, things keep going bad for Sullinger. The latest comes from...

Jared Sullinger is Now the Underdog

Jared Sullinger is Now the UnderdogThe news that Jared Sullinger will not be invited into the NBA’s green room for the NBA Draft is not so much a shock at this point, but more of a disappointment. It’s hard to fathom that a player who a year ago could have been a top ten pick is now falling down the draft boards faster than a prostitute drops her…you know where I’m headed...

Jared Sullinger not invited to the NBA draft as his stock plummets

Less than a year ago, we were talking about Jared Sullinger as a potential lottery pick in the NBA draft. In fact, many were surprised when he chose to return to Ohio State for his sophomore season, believing that the power forward would have likely be a top-five pick. In what seems like the blink of an eye, Sullinger has gone from top prospect to not valued highly enough for a spot...

New tests await Sullinger

Jared Sullinger's public response to Monday's news that he won't be invited to Thursday night's NBA Draft was to change his Twitter avatar to the cartoon character "Underdog." It's a sign of the times. Reports have surfaced that NBA team doctors medically red-flagged Sullinger in recent weeks, sighting back issues for the 6'9 power forward, who...

Ohio State’s Jared Sullinger not invited to NBA Draft

Jared Sullinger was once a shoe-in for the NBA Draft lottery. Had he come out last year, instead of this year, he probably would have been top 6 or 7. Now with news stories about his back issues swirling about, he’s fallen out of the top 20, maybe even the top 25, probably. The fact that he’s not even invited to the NBA Draft in New York City means he’s almost certainly out...

14 players invited to the NBA draft

The NBA draft is on Thursday and the NBA has invited 14 players to attend the draft. This according to Jonathan Givony of DraftExpress.com. While at the draft players sit in the green room with their families and agents. The NBA only invites the players because they don’t want players waiting in the green room. The biggest name not on this list is Ohio State Jared...
