1. Freshman Glenn Robinson III, who is averaging 10.9 points per game, has scored in single digits in three of the past four games, and five of the past nine. Four of those five have come in losses. In the Wolverines losses this year, Robinson has averaged 4.0 points per game. In their wins he's averaged 12.1 points. 2. Michigan is 2nd in the nation at taking care of the ball, but against the Spartans they turned the ball over on 25% of their possessions. Their previous high this season was 22% in their loss at Ohio State, and it's the most they've turned it over since their loss to Ohio State in last year's Big Ten Tournament. 3. After scoring 17 vs Michigan, freshman Gary Harris is now averaging 12.9 per game, which is the 3rd highest freshman average in Michigan State history. He made 5-9 3s, which makes four games this season where he's made at least five. He's shooting 43.6% from the arc, and has made at least half his 3s in six straight games. 4. Michigan State entered the game making 70% of their free throws, but made just 8-17 vs Michigan. It was the third time this season they've made fewer than 50%, though they only attempted 10 and 11 free throws in the two prior games. 5. The Spartans won 75-52 in a 64 possession game. It was the 4th straight game where they have scored at least 1.10 points per possession, after failing to do so in 16 in of their first 21 games. The 0.81 scored per possession by Michigan was the fewest the Spartans have allowed in Big Ten play, and for Michigan it was their worst output since a loss to Kansas in January, 2011.
