At this time last year former Louisville guard Kevin Ware was one of the most famous athletes on the planet. As crazy as it sounds, it’s the truth. Ware’s gruesome injury was the biggest storyline for Louisville’s 2013 National Championship run.
A year later, Ware is now fully healthy, but he’s now a member of a different team. The Atlanta native confirmed last week that he would be transferring to Georgia State to finish his collegiate career.
After making a miraculously quick recovery from his gruesome injury in the 2013 NCAA Tournament, Ware returned to the court for the Cardinals during exhibition play in late October.
Ware played briefly at the beginning of the regular season before Rick Pitino announced that the Atlanta native would be sitting out for the remainder of the year and requesting a medical redshirt. Once the Cardinals hit conference play, Ware simply vanished.
