The Maryland Terrapins have heard nothing but talk about them being on the wrong side of the bubble for several weeks now, and they are doing everything in their power to change that in the ACC tournament. Maryland came out with great energy (and sweet shoes) and a blueprint to beat the Blue Devils after taking them down at home earlier this year. Not to mention the Terrapins had Dez Wells who simply could not miss tonight — he finished 9-13 from the field and a perfect 10-10 from the free throw stripe. Every time that Duke brought the deficit to five points, Wells seemed to have an answer on the other side. This win makes Maryland’s case for the NCAA Tournament a much stronger one, and the Terrapins will have another big opportunity tomorrow night when they take on the winner of tonight’s North Carolina-Florida State game.
