Score: No. 10 Michigan State 58 , No. 22 Wisconsin 43
Star(s): Michigan State: Keith Appling: 19 Pts, 5 Reb. Wisconsin: Ryan Evans: 9 Pts, 11 Reb.
Story: Michigan State has at least given itself a chance at a Big Ten title. Now it just needs a little help from rival Michigan.
MSU got off to a great start against Wisconsin in the first half. Keith Appling started to get his 3-point shot back, Travis Trice hit an impressive buzzer-beater and the Spartans took a 25-18 lead over the Badgers into the break.
The Spartans came back even stronger once the second half was underway. Michigan State dominated on both ends of the court with help from Trice (5 Pts, 6 Stl), Gary Harris (11 Pts, 4 Stl) and Adreian Payne (9 Pts, 11 Rebs). The Spartans had as much as a 21-point lead over the Badgers who struggled offensively with turnovers.
One of the more memorable moments of the game was the brutal fall Adreian Payne took where it looked like he fell right on his neck. After a slight two-second pause, Payne somehow managed to grab the ball while on the ground and call a timeout. Tom Izzo loved it and gave him a huge hug.
It was like he had a brief battery recharge before springing back to action RT @adam_jacobi: HOW IS ADREIAN PAYNE EVEN ALIVE
