It was a little over a year ago that the name Montrezl Harrell became popular amongst the Louisville fan base. The North Carolina native had gone somewhat under the radar since he committed to Virginia Tech very early in the recruiting process. Once Seth Greenberg was fired at Virginia Tech and Harrell received a release from his letter of intent, Rick Pitino, with the help of Kevin Keatts turned up the heat on the pursuit of Harrell. A year later, Harrell is a national champion and will be representing the United States for the second consecutive summer. Harrell has made the final 12-man roster for the Team USA U19 team that will compete in the FIBA U19 World Championships June 27-July 7 in Prague, Czech Republic. University of Louisville sophomore Montrezl Harrell has been selected to compete on the USA Basketball Men’s U19 World Championship team. Harrell made the cut after three days of tryouts at the USA Basketball facility in Colorado Springs, Colo.
