Taylor Braun scored 22 points and North Dakota State clinched the No. 3 seed in the Summit League tournament with an 84-57 win over Nebraska-Omaha on Saturday. The Bison (22-8, 12-4 Summit) will play either South Dakota or Kansas City in the quarterfinals on March 10 in Sioux Falls, S.D. Braun, a junior who returned to practice Monday after missing 10 games with a fracture in his right foot, surpassed 1,000 points for his career with a driving layup at the 5:17 mark of the first half. That was part of a 15-2 run capped by a Chris Kading block and dunk that made it 40-17. Marshall Bjorklund added 18 points and TrayVonn Wright had 15 for North Dakota State, which shot 57 percent and outrebounded the Mavericks 45-25. Marcus Tyus led Nebraska-Omaha (11-20, 6-10) with 10 points.
