Just 43 days after de-committing from Louisville, four star point guard Quentin Snider has decided on a new school. Snider committed to the University of Illinois on Thursday afternoon at Ballard High School in front of the media along with his family and friends. It’s still somewhat of a shock to me that Quentin won’t be wearing a Louisville Cardinal uniform in 2014. The Louisville native maintains that he decided to reopen his recruiting due to the fact that he was unsure of what his role would be in Pitino’s system. After de-committing, the Louisville staff decided to part ways and no longer pursued Snider. His decision came down to UCLA and Illinois, but the four star point guard also had scholarship offers from multiple other schools, including Connecticut, Cincinnati, Marquette, Memphis, Michigan State, Minnesota and West Virginia, among others. Illinois head coach John Groce is entering his second year with the program and is off to quick start on the recruiting trail. Snider...
