With Thursday night’s NBA draft fast approaching, the league has invited 10 players to watch the night’s events from the green room.

McCollum (Lehigh) and Cody Zeller (Indiana), according to ESPN.
Those players were determined via a poll by the league’s general managers on who they think are lottery-worthy players. The ESPN report also notes that the NBA usually invites 3-to-5 more players when the draft draws even closer.
The Cleveland Cavaliers hold the No. 1 draft slot, and are projected to take Noel in multiple expert mock drafts. The rest of the Top 10 pans out in this order: Orlando Magic, Washington Wizards, Charlotte Bobcats, Phoenix Suns, New Orleans Pelicans, Sacramento Kings, Detroit Pistons, Minnesota Timberwolves and...
BEST OF MAXIM
The 2013 NBA Draft may not have a sure-fire All-Star in the mix. However, there is plenty of size, which could make this a better draft than most observers expect. Nerlens Noel of Kentucky is the likely top overall selection in the June 27th Draft. Maryland's Alex Len has been mentioned as another top candidate for the first pick. The following is a look at the top center.
Contradicting recent reports, former Kentucky Wildcats center Nerlens Noel has been invited into the “green room” and is expected to be chosen first overall by the Cleveland Cavaliers on Thursday night. After suffering a torn ACL in his left knee in February, the 19-year-old Noel underwent the knife to repair the damage on March 12. Despite earning rave updates from Dr. James...
Chad Ford isn’t buying into the noise. While Maryland’s Alex Len has worked his way into many conversations to be selected by the Cleveland Cavaliers with the No. 1 pick, Ford is sticking to his initial inclination that, once on the clock, Chris Grant will select Kentucky’s Nerlens Noel.
In one of his latest blog entries, Ford lays out his logic as to why he feels the flat...

Maryland's Alex Len - who is expected to be a top 10 pick in the NBA draft - recently sat down with Bill Simmons and Jalen Rose for a story at Grantland. Len underwent surgery in late April for a stress fracture in his ankle. They discussed this in the interview, and Len revealed that he had suffered from pain for over a month, and had shared that information with Maryland.
ESPN.com is reporting that Nerlens Noel, and Victor Oladipo were among 10 possible lottery selections invited by the NBA to sit in the “green room.”
Those reportedly invited are: Nerlens Noel (Kentucky); Victor Oladipo (Indiana); Otto Porter(Georgetown); Alex Len (Maryland); Anthony Bennett (UNLV); Ben McLemore (Kansas); Trey Burke (Michigan); Michael Carter-Williams ...
Last week we linked up Grantland’s interview with Alex Len. Now an exchange contained therein is making the rounds. Here it is:
Bill Simmons: “So, like the last month of the season you were playing hurt?”
Alex Len: “Yeah.”
Simmons: “And you knew it? Did you tell anybody?”
Len: “Yeah, I told my trainers, but we treated it like a regular, like, ankle sprain. We did...
Not to disparage Mike Miller, J.J. Redick or Courtney Lee, but the Orlando Magic havent used a first-round draft pick on a truly tough, defensive-minded shooting guard since Nick Anderson.
On the eve of the franchises 25th anniversary, Indianas Victor Oladipo could bring things full circle.
Its easy to forget that Anderson, the Magics all-time leader in games played and steals, was...
1. Cleveland Cavaliers—Nerlens Noel (7’0” C, Kentucky) It has become increasingly difficult to pinpoint exactly where the Cavaliers will go with the first overall selection on Thursday. Nerlens Noel is generally considered the top prospect, but recent rumors about a bad entourage have hurt him in some eyes (not to mention that knee injury [...]
Victor Oladipo (Indiana) doesn’t stack up as a prospect heading into the NBA Draft as Dwyane Wade (Marquette) did. The comparisons stop at their athleticism and the fact they both played under head coach Tom Crean. They both have great explosion, but the way they play the game isn’t similar. The likes of Dick [...]
1. Cleveland Cavaliers- C Nerlens Noel (Kentucky)
Nerlens Noel is the consensus #1 pick right now in a weak draft class. He’s coming off a torn ACL, but he’s expected to make a full recovery and be ready by Christmas. As long as it’s not an issue long term, the torn ACL could actually be a blessing in disguise for the Cavaliers because it’ll increase their chances of having...
The NBA has issued ten preliminary invitations for the "green room" for the 2013 NBA Draft on Thursday.
The pool of prospects are determined by the NBA's conversations with general managers about likely lottery picks.
Nerlens Noel (Kentucky); Victor Oladipo (Indiana); Otto Porter (Georgetown); Alex Len (Maryland); Anthony Bennett (UNLV); Ben McLemore (Kansas); Trey...
1. Cleveland Cavaliers: Alex Len – C/Maryland
The Cavs need a big, and Len has the most upside of any center in this year’s draft.
2. Orlando Magic: Ben McLemore – SG/Kansas
The Magic need scorers, and McLemore’s combination of athleticism and 3-point shooting make him the perfect fit in Orlando.
3. Washington Wizards: Otto Porter – SF/Georgetown
The Wizards have a glaring...
The NBA draft is on Thursday and the NBA has invited 10 players to attend the NBA draft Green room. This according to Chad Ford of ESPN. While at the draft players sit in the green room with their families and agents. The NBA only invites the players because they don’t want players waiting in the green room. The biggest names not on this list are Shabazz Muhammad and Kelly Olynyk...
