ESPN was one of the many national media outlets that were on hand yesterday at the White House as President Barack Obama honored the 2013 Louisville National Championship team. The four letter network’s Andy Katz briefly caught up with Rick Pitino to talk about multiple different things, one of which was Brad Stevens making the jump from college to pro. When Stevens left Butler to take the job with the Boston Celtics, a lot of folks compared the hire to when Rick Pitino left Kentucky to take the job with the Celtics. Stevens is the first head coach Boston has hired from the college level since Pitino took the job in 1997. Unfortunately for Pitino, he didn’t have much success during his time in Boston.
