Photo: Kelly Kline/Under Armour It’s been pretty well noted that the front-court was a major focus for Rick Pitino and his staff in the 2014 class. Louisville currently has commitments from forward Jaylen Johnson, center Chinanu Onuaku and is in five star forward Trey Lyles’ final two. Although the staff appears to have addressed the needs in 2014, they’re still targeting big men for the future. According to Alex Kline of, Louisville is the latest to offer a scholarship to Doral Moore, a 6-foot-11, 215-pound, center from the 2015 class. Moore is rated as a four star prospect by He is ranked as the seventh best center in the 2015 class. The Locust Grove, GA., native also has scholarship offers from Ohio State, Texas, Georgia, Georgia Tech, Kansas, Cincinnati and Indiana. It’s obviously still very early in the recruiting process, but I’d say Moore is someone to keep an eye on. He’s now one of very few prospects in the 2015 class that holds a scholarship off...

Mike Marra’s Tattoos Are Better Than Yours

The tattoo that Rick Pitino received after Louisville won’t the national championship received quite a bit of attention. Call me crazy, but Coach Pitino doesn’t exactly seem like a “tattoo guy,” however that didn’t stop him from sticking with his commitment of getting the champ stamp. I hate to break it to you Rick, but I think one of your former players has outdone you...

Cards' Ware gets clean bill of health

Kevin Ware is officially ready to get back in the game. Louisville head coach Rick Pitino says that the junior guard, who suffered a horrific broken leg during the Cardinals' Elite Eight win over Duke on March 31, has been medically cleared to practice just six months removed from the injury. "He has a clean bill of health," Pitino said, via the Courier-Journal. ...

It’s Been Six Months Since Louisville Won The National Championship

Six month ago to this exact day, the University of Louisville men’s basketball program won their first national championship in 27 years. It’s hard to believe that it’s been six months. Part of me feels like it was ten years ago and another part of me feels like it was last week. We’re all confident in this year’s team for good reason. Rick Pitino has a squad that could...

Louisville leading Rutgers at the Half 17-7

The Louisville Cardinals (5-0, 1-0) are leading the Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-1, 1-0) at the half 17-7 in their home stadium. Many felt that this could be Louisville’s most challenging game of the season in the American Athletic Conference. There are NFL scouts from almost every team in attendance taking a look at Teddy Bridgewater, who at the moment is 10 of 14 for 154 yards...

Charlie Strong & His Team Are Confident That They’re The Best In The Country

Maybe it’s just me, but I thought there was something a little different about Charlie Strong during his press conference on Monday afternoon. He seemed more upbeat and excited than usual.  Having a chance to show off his team to a national audience on Thursday night appears to be something that Coach Strong has been waiting for. “National TV is big for us. It’ll give the...

Rutgers Scarlet Knights vs. Louisville Cardinals: Odds, Point Spread, Over/Under and tv info

Andy Lyons/Getty Images North Americasv The Rutgers Scarlet Knights (4-1) will have their work cut out for them on Thursday night as they play against the No. 8 ranked Lousivlle Cardinals. Is DeVante Parker Ready To Return To The Field?

Louisville’s top red-zone target, DeVante Parker, has been listed as day-to-day, since going down with a shoulder injury in the first quarter against Temple on Saturday. Charlie Strong told the media that the training staff would continue to give Parker the necessary treatment throughout the week and that he’d be a game time decision on Thursday. As of Monday, I think most folks...

Charlie Strong & His Team Not At All Worried About The Polls

ESPN Despite being undefeated and clearly dominating the first five games on their schedule, the Louisville football program has recently dropped in both major polls. Some would speculate that the Cards haven’t been as dominant as they needed to be against a weak schedule, but when you’ve outscored your opponents 127-3 in the first half, that is clearly dominant. Doing everything...

Rapid Reaction: Louisville 24 – Rutgers 10

Photo: Andy Lyons – Getty Images Let’s face it. For the first time in the 2013 season, Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals went up against a good football team. Not a great team and not a team that is playing for a national championship, but a good team that has talented players to compete. With all that said, Louisville obviously didn’t play their best football tonight...

GAME SIX: Louisville vs Rutgers

The 8th-ranked Louisville Cardinals welcome Rutgers for a nationally televised Thursday night contest at Papa John's Cardinal Stadium. U of L is looking to become bowl eligible with a victory tonight.

Winning may have to do for Louisville football

Charlie Strong welcomes his defensive unit back to the sidelines after still another stop. The development of the University of Louisville football program is still a work in progress, probably ahead of schedule, and dreams of playing in a national championship game will go unfulfilled this season. That became more obvious than ever in a 24-10 over Rutgers, the Cardinals needing...

Rutgers Head Coach Kyle Flood Looking Forward To A Test On Thursday Night

Only time will tell, but as of this point, Thursday’s game against Rutgers will be the biggest one on the schedule for Charlie Strong and the Louisville Cardinals this season. Rutgers appears to be the best overall team on the schedule and with the game being played on a Thursday night; the spotlight will be all over the No. 8 ranked Cardinals. One storyline that I’m surprised...
