If you have an Instagram account and you don’t follow Louisville co-captain Russ Smith, you’re doing it wrong. Not only is Russ one of the best basketball players in the country, he’s also one of the more entertaining personalities we’ve ever gotten to know over the years.
Earlier this week Russ shared a photo on Instagram where he looked to be wearing a shoulder sling. Our man C.L. Brown of the Courier-Journal noticed the photo and reached out to figure out what exactly was going on with Russ.
Louisville SID Kenny Klein tells Brown via text message that Russ had a spill on either a bike or a moped. Klein also says that Russ is fine and only had some minor scrapes and scratches.
Don’t scare us like that, Russ.

I think at this point, with commitments from JaQuan Lyle, Quentin Snider and Shaqquan Aaron, Rick Pitino will likely spent most of his time recruiting front-court players for 2014.
