Jacob Parker scored 19 points and pulled down 12 rebounds as Stephen F. Austin managed to hold off North Carolina-Wilmington for a 60-55 victory at the Roundball Classic Friday night. NC-Wilmington had a better shooting percentage from the floor (18-of-41) than SFA (36.4 percent) but the Lumberjacks took 14 more shots. Desmond Haymon had 12 points for SFA (5-2) and Thomas Walkup added 10. The teams swapped the lead throughout the second period until a Tanner Clayton layup put the Lumberjacks ahead to stay with 6:16 remaining. Parker then made four consecutive free throws to stretch the lead to 51-45. NC-Wilmington did close to 58-55 on an Addison Spruill 3-pointer with 22 seconds left. However Deshaunt Walker then made two free throws to close out the scoring as the Lumberjacks thwarted NC-Wilmington's come-back attempt. Spruill led the Seahawks (4-5) with 23 points. Tanner Milson had 11 points.
