Three Idiots on Sports:
EXCLUSIVE - Idiots on Sports has learned exclusively that the real reason behind the Jim Boeheim - Andy Katz feud, which ignited last night when Boeheim told Katz he was disloyal and called him an idiot in a post-game press conference after a loss to Connecticut, has nothing to with anything Katz has written over the years.Rather, Boeheim was said to have been incensed when he learned that the Valentine's Day card Katz sent him was also sent to Duke Coach Mike Krzyzewski.

The Duke Blue Devils mounted a second half comeback to beat rival North Carolina 73-68 in the first of two meetings between the schools. And though Duke, who is ranked #4 in the country and at home, was expected to beat an unranked UNC squad, Duke students still felt that the win warranted them storming the court.
Unfortunately for them, Mike Krzyzewski had other ideas and stopped...
The Duke Blue Devils beat the the North Carolina Tar Heels by the score of 73-68 in a rivalry week matchup at Cameron Indoor Stadium in Durham on Wednesday night. While the outcome wasn’t surprising given the state of the respective programs, anything can and often does happen when rivals square off on the hardwood.

You may recall that I picked Florida State’s Michael Snaer to be this season’s ACC Player of the Year. When I get it wrong, I get it wrong. But the bulk of the ACC media picked NC State’s C.J. Duke beat North Carolina last night and, as the Cameron Crazies were ready to storm the court after another round of their interstate rivalry ticked down to 0.0, one man stopped them in their tracks.
In stepped the Blue Devils' head coach Mike Krzyzewski who, with the waving of his arms, stopped the frothing fans from flooding the floor.
After all, No. 2 Duke had just defeated...
North Carolina and Duke will go at it for the first time this season Wednesday night in Durham, NC. And while the Tar Heels aren't having a typical season, they are still talented enough to make things interesting against the second-ranked Blue Devils.
UNC enters the game at 16-7 overall and 6-4 in the ACC while Duke is 21-2 and 8-2. But, UNC won last year's meeting at fabled...
OK, OK. Throw the record book out the window.
Seems like a waste of a good record book to us, but who are we to quibble with tradition?
Before we disregard the record, though, there’s a statistic we frankly find hard to ignore. It probably has no predictive value when Duke and North Carolina collide, but it certainly is suggestive. Of something.
This week marks the 20th time...
