1. Kansas Leading the Jayhawks in the frontcourt will be center Jeff Withey (9 ppg). Withey was setting block shots records as Kansas kept advancing in the NCAA tournament. He averaged a crazy 3.6 blocks shots per game and was the Big 12 Defensive Player of the Year. He also improved his offensive game a ton last season with Thomas Robinson gone look for him to average in double figures. Look for very talented freshman Perry Ellis to start at the other forward spot. He is a very talented scorer than excels in the mid-range game and running the floor. Providing depth he will be Kevin Young (3.4 ppg), and freshman Jamari Traylor and Justin Wesley (1.2 ppg). Young was Kansas 6th man last season but he is currently injured and will the beginning of the season. Traylor like McLemore sat out last season because of grades but is highly talented. On Monday night, Jeff Withey stood in front of a sold out crowd in Allen Fieldhouse for the last time as a senior. Minutes before, he had helped the Jayhawks destroy Texas Tech with 22 points and 9 rebounds.
