via Lansing State Journal As if Michigan State needed anymore reason to want to come into Crisler Center and knock off Michigan for the second time this season.  Trey Burke just handed it to them on a silver platter. Thursday on the Big Ten Network, Michigan sophomore point guard Trey Burke was asked who is the toughest team they have played this year.  Mind you, Michigan went into Bloomington, Indiana and lost a somewhat-close eight-point loss earlier this month.  They also went into East Lansing and got their tails handed to them by 23 points.  So what did Burke say? “Probably Indiana. They have a really good team, they have a lot of pieces. They have a good point guard, good wings, a good big man and a good coach.  And they have a lot of good bench players. It was tough going in there (trying to get) a win. Obviously we didn’t, but we have another shot at them.” Take note point guard Keith Apping; wings Gary Harris and Branden Dawson; and big men Adreian Payne and Derrick Nix.  Everyone knows that Tom Izzo is a good (outstanding) coach.  But in effect, Burke was saying that one of the aforementioned Spartans doesn’t quality as “good.” I’m not here to argue that Indiana is the best team they have played.  They are the number one team in the country and have beaten Michigan State twice.  But for gamesmanship’s sake, he probably should have chosen the “they’re all tough” route. Michigan plays host to MSU on March 3.  They host Indiana on March 10.
