UCLA forward Reeves Nelson has been kicked off of the team by head coach Ben Howland.
It's been a rough start to the season for the Bruins (2-5) and an even rougher start for Nelson.
"This continues a trend of very disappointing behavior by Reeves, said Howland in a statement. I personally have worked hard with him to illustrate the importance of the code of conduct for our student-athletes, as well as the ramifications for violating it. I am disappointed that he has continued to fall short of my expectations."
There is no timetable for the reevaluation of Nelsons status with the team.
It has been a turbulant season thus far for the junior forward who has already been suspended for a game for "conduct unbecoming of a member of the UCLA basketball team."
