A total of three players have been dismissed from the UTEP Miners basketball team after the school discovered that the student athletes had partaken in gambling.Leading scorer McKenzie Moore, Jalen Ragland, and Justin Crosgile were each given a pink slip. At this point, school officials insist that there has been no evidence found that the players were involved in point shaving or even bet on games involving UTEP.The school failed to reveal what kind of gambling or how frequently the players engaged in. Under NCAA rules, each player will be suspended at least one year and lose one year of eligibility following the suspension. Considering that each player is a junior or above, their college careers are effectively over.An investigation is currently ongoing with the FBI.Via Eye on College Basketball
