Things are looking up for the Husky Men’s Basketball Team. Just a couple days after officially landing Darin Johnson on the first day of the early signing period, the Dawgs locked up Nigel Williams-Goss as well. According to a blog post from Percy Allen, Williams-Goss is ranked anywhere from #39 to #47 by the national recruiting services. His coach at Findlay Prep in Nevada called him a “consumate” point guard at a time when the UW will need backcourt personnel. Williams-Goss, an Oregon native who played prep ball in Nevada After Tony Wroten and Terrence Ross both left for the NBA after last season, the Dawgs will lose Abdul Gaddy and Scott Suggs to graduation at the end of this season. With CJ Wilcox, currently a junior, the only lock for the starting lineup next season (if he stays in school), Johnson and Williams-Goss can be betted on to compete for minutes right away. Or, you can look for more sports betting sites reviews. UW Dawg Pound has a pretty good overview of WG’s game, here. You can check out Williams-Goss’ apparent Twitter account here (he is currently accepting kudos on his signing.) The 2013-14 season is still a long way away, but in Williams-Goss (a PG) and Johnson (SG) could be a multi-year tandem in Lorenzo Romar’s backcourt. It was reported that Romar’s success in grooming guards for the NBA played a role in the Johnson’s decision, and presumably Williams-Goss as well. We’re excited to see who else the Huskies land for the class of 2013, which is shaping up to be a good one.
