It's been more than eight months since a tornado ripped through Tuscaloosa. Homes and businesses were wiped from their foundations, lives forever altered. Alabama long snapper Carson Tinker is part of that group. He was huddled with his girlfriend in a closet when the storm hit. Both were thrown some 50 yards by the EF-4 tornado. Tinker was battered, bloodied and bruised but survived. Ashley Harrison did not. Tinker has a hard time discussing that awful April day. But he has worked hard to heal and people have told him that he's an inspiration. The second-ranked Crimson Tide, who will play No. 1 LSU for the BCS championship on Monday night, have also given folks back home something positive to rally around, helping their entire town.
