Former Tennessee quarterback Erik Ainge has released some details of the alleged “sex crime” that took place at Vanderbilt earlier this offseason. Ainge, on his Tennessee Sports Radio show, claims he has a reliable source telling him that a player on the Commodores’ football team allowed three of his teammates to rape his girlfriend. He also said that the woman “obviously did not want that to be the case.” Deadspin captured the audio from the show, which is embedded below. We’ll wait to hear more before passing judgement, but if true, this is absolutely appalling. The Tennesee Bureau of Investigation is currently looking into the matter. We’ll keep you updated.
