Air Force linebacker Brady Amack has been named the FWAA/Bronko Nagurski National Defensive Player of the Week for games of the weekend of Oct. 1. Amack, a 6-2, 227-pound senior from Pleasanton, Calif., registered a career-high 23 tackles (11 unassisted), a sack and two tackles for loss in the Falcons' 35-34 overtime victory at Navy.
The Air Force baseball enjoyed a weekend trip to the east coast, culminating with a 13-inning scrimmage with Navy on Friday and joining the Falcon contingent at the Air Force-Navy football game the following day.
