Kicker Anthony Fera, who made three field goals and averaged 39 yards per punt Saturday against Indiana, has been named the Big Ten's special teams player of the week. Fera is Penn State's third player to earn Big Ten honors this season, joining quarterback Matt McGloin (offense) and Chaz Powell (special teams). Fera has handled punts, kickoffs and field goals on a full-time basis the past two weeks, becoming the first Penn State kicker to do so since Chris Bahr in 1975. Elsewhere, the Big Ten announced a noon kickoff for Penn State's Oct. 15 game against Purdue.
