MARGUS HUNT DE, SMU 6-8, 275 LBS 2012: 31 tackles, 11.5 TFL, 8 SCK, 1 INT, 2 FF, 3 blocked kicks 2011: 28 tackles, 7.5 TFL, 4 blocked kicks 2010: 13 starts, 3 sacks, 45 tackles, 6.5 TFL, 3 blocked kicks 2009: 7 blocked kicks Great athleticism for a man his size. Former track star and it shows (discus and shot put). Moves like a linebacker. Is he all measurables and athleticism? Or is he an inexperienced prospect who just needs to be coached up? I think he’s shown that he has the ability to become a really good player. He was triple teamed in SMU’s bowl game against Fresno State…and he still broke through the blocks. He has a penchant for blocking kicks (17 for his college career). He’s a little bit older than the prospects in this class (he’ll be 26 in July). He’s got long arms, but I didn’t see him extending them as much as he should to keep blockers off of him. His instincts probably aren’t the best, as far as knowing where the ball is and finding it.
