Michigan Football commit Shane Morris continues to build his legend at the Elite 11 Finals. He has been showing off his cannon of a left arm and was also the Day 2 winner of the Golden Gun Accuracy Challenge. Morris has always had the howitzer attached to his left shoulder, but some had knocked his touch/accuracy.

A relentless worker, Morris has looked very polished with all of his throws at the Elite 11 Finals. Rivals.com recruiting analyst Mike Farrell said, of all 25 QBs at the camp, Morris probably had the highest ceiling. The 6-foot-3, 190 pound Morris has all the physical tools and is also a tremendous leader. He has that rare ability to be confident, but not cocky. He is highly ranked by all the recruiting services; #26 overall and #4 QB by ESPNU, #22 overall and #2 QB by rivals, scout.com ranks him a 5-star prospect and the #3 QB.

Scott Kennedy of scout.com said that Morris and USC commit Max Browne were the top 2 QBs on Thursday. Mike Farrell said Morris has been very impressive. Brian Stumpf of ESPN noted that Morris showed a lot on Thursday and passed Trent Dilfer’s test.

Shane Morris is the centerpiece of Michigan’s #2 ranked recruiting class (USC recently leapfrogged the Wolverines for the top spot). He has a cult following on Twitter with over 13,000 followers @S_Morrris12. On top of all that he is a genuinely good kid, who loves football and loves the Michigan Wolverines.

Morris is heading into his senior season at Warren De La Salle. As a junior, he passed for 1,658 yards and 19 touchdowns with seven interceptions. As a sophomore, Morris threw for 1,139 yards and 14 TDs with 5 interceptions.
