After months of anticipation, the dust has finally settled in what has been an incredible season for college football. Upsets and marquee matchups kept fans on the edge of their seats until the unveiling of the final BCS standings. From the Perimeter will break down every BCS bowl bout, projecting the outcome as well as analyzing the keys to victory for each team. Discover BCS National Championship: (1) Notre Dame vs. (2) Alabama Projected Outcome: Alabama def. Notre Dame 31-21 In a game that will end up much closer than it should be, the Crimson Tide will prevail. Backed by their stellar running attack and a stingy defensive unit, Alabama is going to come out swinging against Notre Dame. Look for a game that sees the Fighting Irish struggle to compete early, but show resurgence in the fourth quarter and bring the game within two scores. Tostitos Fiesta Bowl: (4) Oregon vs. (5) Kansas State Projected Outcome: Oregon def. Kansas State 52-38 Two high-powered offenses clash in arguably the most intriguing matchup of the 2012 bowl season. Chip Kelly’s Ducks will thrive against a Wildcat defense that gave up 52 points to a 7-5 Baylor squad. Look for Collin Klein to prove his Heisman valor against a depleted Ducks defense, but on the other sideline, beware of Barner and his buddies as they look to make the Wildcats whimper. Discover Orange Bowl: (12) Florida State vs. (15) Northern Illinois Projected Outcome: Florida State def. Northern Illinois 49-10 In a game that features an arguably undeserving team in a BCS bowl, Florida State’s dominant defensive line will cause a multitude of problems for Jordan Lynch’s Huskies. Being the champions of the MAC seems an odd way to earn an Orange Bowl berth, and shows the incredible flaws that pervade the current BCS bowl system. Rose Bowl Game presented by VIZIO: (6) Stanford vs. Wisconsin Projected Outcome: Stanford def. Wisconsin 35-13 The Cardinal experienced some tough tests in 2012, handing Oregon their only loss of the season on Nov. 17th and taking Notre Dame to overtime in October. Montee Ball and Wisconsin hope to pull another huge upset, after finishing their otherwise disappointing season with a 70-31 thrashing of (16) Nebraska in the Big Ten title game. Allstate Sugar Bowl: (3) Florida vs. (21) Louisville Projected Outcome: Florida def. Louisville 27-24 A last second field goal will be the difference between these two physical football teams. Although Louisville struggled down the stretch of a season in which they started 9-0, the Cardinals will put up a fight against an SEC powerhouse in Florida. QB Jeff Driskel and the Gators have been in this position before, winning close games against inferior opponents, and the leg of Caleb Sturgis will give the Gators the edge against Louisville. *Fan’s Pick* Buffalo Wild Wings Bowl: TCU vs. Michigan State Projected Outcome: TCU def. Michigan State 28-17 From the Perimeter’s fans have weighed in, and the non-BCS bowl of choice will feature the Spartans of Michigan State matching up with the Horned Frogs of TCU. The inaugural BWW bowl should be a good one, and guest picker Tannan Luzzo projects an 11 point victory for the Horned Frogs. It’s truly inspiring to see TCU have the opportunity to win a bowl game after a season filled with turmoil on and off the field.

Wisconsin 70, No. 14 Nebraska 31

Wisconsin took the ball and ran away with another Big Ten title. Montee Ball ran for 202 yards and three touchdowns and the Badgers scored seven touchdowns on their first nine possessions, blowing out No. 14 Nebraska 70-31 to win their third straight, and most improbable, Big Ten title on Saturday night. College Fantasy Football: Champs and Chumps, Week 14

Champs of the Week:1.     Wisconsin RB’s- 527 rushing yards, 8 TD’sIs Wisconsin’s rushing attack that good, or is Nebraska that bad? While the Cornhuskers might be the worst 10-3 football team in the history of college football, Montee Ball and Co. were that good on Saturday night as they claimed a third-straight trip to the Rose Bowl in the win. Ball, James White and Melvin...

Maybe We Shouldn't Let People Vote for the Heisman

You might have a problem with a freshman or strictly defensive player winning the Heisman for the first time this Saturday, but you're probably ok with Collin Klein, Manti Te'o and Johnny Manziel being invited to New York as finalists. All three have clearly separated themselves from the field over the last month and belong on stage this weekend, and all three have a legitimate...

Wisconsin crushes Nebraska in route to 3rd straight Rose Bowl

Ummmmm.... Yea, about that close game and about Nebraska dominating the Badgers. We didn't mean any of that, we swear.  Signed, Mark May and the rest of college football pundits O.k, now that we got that out of the way we aren't going to bore you with the inner workings of Wisconsin's Reauchambeauing (sp) of the Huskers. Instead we'll leave with the records...

Stanford, Wisconsin programs mirror image

David Shaw and Bret Bielema sidled up to each other in a Texas hotel last year at an awards banquet and struck up a conversation about how much each coach admired the other's football program. Perhaps it's no surprise that Shaw, the Stanford coach, and Bielema, the Wisconsin coach, hit it off. The similarities in their styles of play are obvious: Two pro-style offenses with...

No. 14 Nebraska collapses in 70-31 loss to Badgers

Nebraska coach Bo Pelini spent nearly four hours watching Saturday night's debacle. He needed less than 10 minutes to pin the blame on himself. Wisconsin's Montee Ball ran for 202 yards and three more touchdowns, and the dominant Badgers blew out No. 14 Nebraska 70-31 in the Big Ten title game. It's the third time in four years, the Cornhuskers have gone home empty...

Wisconsin a fluke Big Ten Champion?.... Think Again

You would think after at 70-31 score line and after Montee Ball got done stiff arming and plowing over Ciante Evans for about the umpteenth time that Wisconsin proved it belonged on the same field as Nebraska, let alone proved it was a worthy champion of the Big Ten? However, apparently that wasn't enough for one writer out there. According to SI's Stewart...

Gordon proves UW ground game will endure

INDIANAPOLIS Melvin Gordon couldn't help but hear the unrest from Wisconsin football fans displeased with his lack of touches this season. If he was really being honest with himself, he knew a running back with his talent was capable of so much more than he'd been given the opportunity to show. But he also knew running backs at Wisconsin don't appear on campus and instantly...

Wisconsin Steamrolls Nebraska in Big Ten Championship Game

In an article I wrote earlier in the week, I picked the Nebraska Cornhuskers to beat the Wisconsin Badgers, 28-24, in the Big Ten Championship Game. Clearly, I was wrong. Wisconsin took Nebraska behind the woodshed en route to a Big Ten Championship Game victory. (Image credit: Brian Spurlock, US PRESSWIRE via USAToday.com) On Saturday night, the Wisconsin Badgers brutally dismantled...

Sunday Morning Hangover: This Rose Bowl smells sweeter for Badgers

(photo courtesy AP) I don't know about you, but for myself the past two Rose Bowl seasons have been amazing journeys full of ups and downs, what could've beens and all that comes with it. But, this one, this 3rd one in a row, well it just smells and tastes that much sweeter. No doubt the Badgers had to overcome certain things in 2010 and 2011 to get to the championship...
