Let me be the first to admit that the "dismissal" (if it holds true this time) of Stephen Garcia is several years in the making. The now former starting quarterback for the South Carolina Gamecocks has finally been put out on his collective rear, bringing to an end an undistinguished playing career fraught with more whining than wins. Many felt Garcia had the potential to be an above average quarterback in the SEC, but over the course of his tenure at USC, he showed a bigger tendency towards disappointment and frustration than wins and accolades.  Now, with his career as a Gamecock officially over, Garcia has been set free to continue down whatever road he darn well chooses, and the Gamecocks don't sound too heartbroken to see him go.
