When The Texas A&M Aggies and The Alabama Crimson Tide walk into Kyle Field this Saturday, fans everywhere will be anxiously awaiting ‘The Game of the Century’. If you’ve been under a rock the last year, you may be wondering why it is being called such. Last season SEC newcomer Texas A&M strolled into Tuscaloosa and punched The Tide in the face.
Johnny Manziel scored two touchdowns, rushed 92 yards, and threw 253 more. It was a huge upset, and it catapulted Texas A&M into the spotlight. The Aggies beat the undefeated BCS National Champions in their own territory 29-24 and since then The Tide has been out for revenge. While The Aggies are undefeated now, there are red flags that even the most inexperienced fan can see.
Coach Nick Saban likes to play an NFL style game by running the ball and having a strong defense. If Alabama’s run game isn’t contained then The Tide will control the clock and keep field time in their favor. The fact of the matter is that if The Aggies want to win, they’ll have to contain Alabama running back T.J. Yeldon. How will that happen?
Texas A&M’s defensive ends have done a poor job this season holding down the running game against both Rice and Sam Houston State. Both opponents succeeded in running wide against their defense, and if that happens against Alabama then The Aggies offense won’t see much action.
Containing Yeldon once he has the ball can be very difficult, but the obvious point is that the first defender to touch Yeldon needs to bring him down. Virginia Tech only allowed Yeldon 75 yards on 17 carries because they did just that. The Aggies have a defense that could do it, but it will take teamwork.
Another key element is getting The Tide out of their comfort zone. If Texas A&M scores at least twice or more in the first half that will force Alabama to play catch up which will make their offense more transparent.
That job lies with Aggie quarterback Johnny Manziel. If he can stay calm and composed against the bloodthirsty Tide then Texas A&M has a chance despite Alabama being favored to win.
Will The Aggies be be able to handle the simmering anger of head coach Nick Saban? Will The Tide be able to stop Johnny Football? This amazing match up will set the tone for each team this season. There is so much hype surrounding this match up, and if we know anything about Saban and Manziel: they’re sure to deliver.
BEST OF MAXIM
Johnny Manziel may be the most controversial quarterback in college football, but he’s also one of the most electrifying.
During the second quarter of the Alabama-Texas A&M game, Johnny Football found himself in a dire situation. Manziel dropped back on third-and-eight, evaded tackles from every which way, and as he continued to scramble into his own territory, he somehow was...
In what could easily be touted as the most highly anticipated NCAA event of the regular season, the No. 1 Alabama Crimson Tide will hit the road this weekend, gunning for a victory over Johnny Manziel and the No. 6 Texas A&M Aggies. Less than a year ago, Famous Field was a child slave working 14 hours a day in a fishing village in Ghana.
Now Field, who is just seven, is just like any other first grader in College Station, pulling for the Texas A&M Aggies and Heisman Trophy winner Johnny Manziel.

It seems that Johnny Football is picking up right where he left off the last time he played against Alabama. Manziel has driven the Aggies down the field for touchdowns on both of the team’s first two possessions, giving Texas A&M a 14-0 lead early on in College Station. He’s been a terror for the Tide to contain on defense.
Here’s the first touchdown – a 1-yard toss...
All eyes might be on Johnny Manziel in Saturday's Alabama-Texas A&M game - except for the Crimson Tide's defensive backs.
Top-ranked Alabama coach Nick Saban doesn't want his DBs turning back to check out No. 6 Texas A&M's electric quarterback when he's moving around in the backfield.
Too many things can happen, and most of them bad.
Texas A&M got off to a fast start against Alabama with 14 quick points, but than Alabama fired back with 28 unanswered points to take a 28-14 lead. The fourth touchdown came off a 4-yard run by T.J. Yeldon on a drive that started after a Johnny Manziel interception.
Following the touchdown Yeldon gave A&M a reason to get fired up by mocking their quarterback.

I decided to go a little different this week, starting out with an Ohio State/Cal version of the first verse of “California Love.” I recommend letting the song play past the first verse, as by that point you will have hopefully completely forgotten that I made an attempt to reword one of the greatest rap songs of all time.

San Antonio has always been seen as a UT (University of Texas) town. Austin is down the road 45 minutes and Texas has traditionally had a stronger football program than Texas A&M. But, it looks like that is changing.
A&M is being proactive in getting its message out there. The Aggies have paid for at least two outdoor billboards along major highways around town with head...
