Throw The Flag:
Yeah, the World Series is on but isn’t it more interesting when a terrible SEC team takes on another terrible SEC team and wears thigh pads with logos? That’s what I thought! Check these UK themed thigh pads out. They are taking the uniform game to the next level. If only they can win a game or two. If the Kentucky Wildcats beat Mississippi State tonight, Dan Mullen is officially on the hot seat. Good luck Mark Stoops. The thigh pads will bring you luck.

BEST OF MAXIM
Kentucky Wildcats head coach Mark Stoops was clearly upset with the call the referees made during their game against the Mississippi State Bulldogs and went completely ballistic during the game. Stoops definitely took a page out of Bobby Knight’s playbook on this tirade.
The Kentucky Wildcats are including logos and player numbers on a generally overlooked portion of a uniform: The thigh pads.
We’ve told you before that no part of the football uniform is safe these days — teams are going to swag out every article of clothing possible in order to impress recruits and stay fresh. Tomorrow vs. Mississippi State, the Kentucky Wildcats will be wearing something that we’ve never seen before — 3-D thigh pads that will display the school logo embossed through the players’...
The Kentucky Wildcats will play their final opponent in the 3-year long “Champions Classic” against Michigan State on Nov. 12th in Chicago’s United Center. The 3-year, round robin format will complete it’s cycle this season but Calipari has another similar tournament in mind. While it may not be called the “Champions Classic” Calipari has announced to bring the same 3...
One of the most important games in college basketball history was played in 1966 between the Kentucky Wildcats and Texas Western. Today, news came out that the two teams will be meeting on the hardwood again in 2016.
This afternoon, at a luncheon in El Paso, UTEP head coach Tim Floyd announced UTEP and Kentucky would be facing off to commemorate the 50th anniversary of the 1966...
Kentucky Wildcats vs. Mississippi State Bulldogs football preview and predictions. Who wins this Thursday night showdown in Starkville?
Yesterday during his talking, but NOT discussing injuries, with the media portion of his day, Dan Mullen said that he and his players treat Kentucky, who is Mississippi State's permanent East opponent, as "a little bit" of a rivalry game. While that's probably a stretch because KENTUCKY FOOTBALL, I hope both teams treat it as such tonight, as it is a terrible...
For whatever reasons beating Kentucky doesn’t easily for the Dan Mullen and Mississippi State. Yet win they do, if this 28-22 victory demanded a Bulldog defensive stand that was just fine by the coach. “Hoooo-eeee!” he said. “We keep everybody tuned in right to the last minute, don’t we?”
Thursday night will be the first time in Mark Stoops’ career as a head coach that he does not face a team ranked in the Top 20. That doesn’t mean it will be any easier for his 1-5 Wildcats to walk away with the win on the road. Mississippi State used to be a game that Kentucky fans looked forward to. The Bulldogs always seemed to share the cellar of the SEC, giving the ‘Cats...
Mississippi State coach Dan Mullen came to the postgame press conference, sat in his chair, adjusted the microphone and then let out a strange noise that was somewhere between a scream and sigh of relief.
The Bulldogs had picked up their first Southeastern Conference victory of the season.
But it wasn't easy at all.

Mississippi State is playing host to Kentucky tonight in Starkville as part of ESPN’s weekly Thursday night showcase, and the school is expecting an extra rowdy crowd on hand to support the Bulldogs. MSU decided that it wanted to get those fans engaged in the game beforehand, and created a hashtag that fans could tweet if they want to appear on the stadium’s video board:
