Who will be the next supposedly coaching candidate at USC?  AD Pat Haden is claiming that potential candidates are being called by non-USC officials for the next USC head coach position.  Tony Dungy was the latest to be contacted and has stated that 1. He was not interested in the position and 2. That he was reached out to by an individual acting on his own and not an approved official from USC. I for one think that the next coach has to be one that has a history of background in college football and also is a great recruiter. I think that USC will target a big name coach from the college ranks or a NFL assistant with college ties.  I do not see an offensive or defensive coordinator in the college ranks receiving a call. Have a great day everyone Coach Dan The post USC next coaching candidate appeared first on NCAA Football Zone.

USC Football: Arizona week stats and news

A lot has happened since the last game USC played. It was still September when ASU defeated USC. It was still September when Lane Kiffin was terminated. USC’s first five games of the season were also Kiffin’s last five games as USC’s head...

USC's Kolanz goes from intern to walk-on receiver

LOS ANGELES -- The last week has been an eventful one for the USC football team. For receiver Robby Kolanz, it's been all of that and more. "It feels like I'm just a kid having fun," said Kolanz, who has gone from a little known walk-on to a hot topic in press conferences. In...

USC reaching out to Tony Dungy could signal a change in philosophy for Pat Haden

Tony Dungy joined the Dan Patrick Show on Monday and revealed that USC had reached out to his people to gauge his interest in taking their open coaching job. Predictably, Dungy has zero interest in taking the job, but that’s not the story here. The real story here is that a school that has the history and resources of USC to lure almost any coach they want would be content with...

Tony Dungy Turns Down A Job He Was Never Offered In The First Place

Tony went public, stating that he had turned down the offer to coach at USC but it seems he was never actually...

Are USC fans catfishing football coaches?

The search for a new head coach at USC figures to be a high profile one, and one that everyone will want to have a say in. Apparently that can be taken figuratively.
